Steam Deck now has official Linux support
The drivers for the Steam Deck hardware have been incorporated into the Linux kernel. Among the devices are the CPU fan control, battery temperature measurements, and screen configurations, among others.
Security flaws in 25 UEFIs
Dozens of security flaws have been found in the UEFIs of computers from Fujitsu, Siemens, Dell, HP, HPE, and Lenovo, among others. The common flaw is caused by InsydeH2O, an SDK that all these manufacturers use to develop their firmwares.
Nvidia's ARM purchase is canceled
The Japanese conglomerate Softbank has thrown in the towel on the sale of ARM to Nvidia due to the obstacles that the US Trade Commission, the British government, and the EU have put in place.

Western Digital loses 6.5 EB of flash memory
Western Digital and Kioxia (formerly Toshiba) have reported that several of their joint factories have had a contamination problem that has ruined 6.5 exabytes of memory intended for SSDs.
