VESA finishes DisplayPort UHBR standard
VESA has finished writing the DisplayPort UHBR (Ultra-High Bit Rate) standard and has begun certifying cables that can carry 8K video at 60Hz with HDR.
Nokia announces its new Android phones
Nokia has presented its low-cost Android phones that come with micro-USB connectors and a replaceable battery for 80€.
ARM continues to gain ground
Lenovo is going to release ARM laptops with Windows 11. It comes with a 13.3" screen at 1920x120, a battery life of 28 hours, and up to 32GB of RAM with 1TB of SSD.
Core i5-1135G7
Namiga brought us a Core i5-1135G7 a few days ago. It is a portable Tiger Lake with 4 cores at 4.2GHz. Its performance is very similar to the Core i5-1035G1 and it is in third position of the 4 Tiger Lakes we have. It barely enters the general ranking, achieving position 96.

Random number generation unified in Linux
Starting with Linux 5.18, all interfaces that provide random numbers in Linux will be powered by RNG. As a result, all daemons that need a random number during startup will have to wait a second for the seed to start.
Intel removes AVX-512 from Alder Lake
Initially, Intel said that Alder Lake would not have AVX-512, but motherboard manufacturers managed to enable it. Now Intel has decided to remove the instruction set from the chip, so the new CPUs of the architecture will not have the possibility to use the vector extension.
