nvidia installation error
-
Hello Fellow Users....I'm asking for your help.
My son has just bought a new graphics card and has given me his old one, an nvidia GT630.
I know it's a few years old, but it's fine for me. I use Windows 11
I installed it without any problems, but the drivers that make it work are the 391.35, when I try to put the ones I find on the nvidia page, which are the 473.47, I get an error, and any other that is not the 391.35 gives me an error. And if I download the ones proposed by Nvidia Geforce Experience, it's the same.
I saw a video that modifying a file called nvaci from Nvidia solved it, but it didn't work for me.
Do you know the reason and the solution? -
Hello @darko!
That GPU has a Fermi chip, so it's on the EOL (End of Life) product list since April 2018.
The most advanced driver supported by this generation is precisely the one you mention, the 391.35.

Thanks Krampak for the information.
