The European Parliament has ratified the directive establishing a common charger for electronic devices.

Well, this unifies the topic a bit, away from proprietary technologies and towards extended application of the capabilities of the latest USB revisions, or at least as far as charging is concerned.
They want any charger to work for any device, and products to be sold without a charger.What I haven't stopped to look into is whether this already applies to USB 4.
