Major change in Gnome 45
One of the negative consequences of the current fashionable version numbering style is that it is not possible to distinguish radical changes in software. That happens to Gnome 45, which will be incompatible with extensions developed for previous versions. Developers will have to maintain a version of the extension compatible pre45 and another post45.
EXT4 improvements in Linux 6.6
Linux 6.6 has brought changes to the EXT4 file system that imply performance improvements. In the tests carried out, a 34% reduction in writing time is observed when 32 processes write to a file concurrently.

The thirteenth generation of Intel processors (Raptor Lake) are causing blue screens in Windows. The company has confirmed that it is their fault and that they are working on the microcode, which will be distributed in a BIOS update.
Performance drop due to Zenbleed
Tests have appeared that measure a 15% performance drop when the patch for the Zenbleed vulnerability is applied on AMD processors. Despite this drop, it seems that games are not affected by the patch.

Someone has brought us a Ryzen 9 7945HX, a portable processor with 16 Zen 4 cores. It is in fifth position in the general ranking although it is the most powerful among mobile CPUs. It has a performance similar to the also portable Core i9-13980HX and both lead the ranking of the most efficient micros.
