Destroying disks with vibrations
A disk erasure company has created a machine called DiskMantler that, through vibrations, is able to separate all the components of a hard drive in 90 seconds.
About 8GB Macs
Apple continues to try to convince potential buyers of their machines that 8 GB of RAM are more than enough by saying they are equivalent to 16 GB on a Windows PC. The problem that many see is merely monetary: a premium computer whose basic model costs €1000 and an upgrade to 16 GB costs €200, should be better equipped as standard.
4TB SD cards for next year
Next year, the first 4TB SD cards are expected to start appearing. Taking the rates of the largest cards today (1 TB), it would take 12 hours to record the 4 TB.
Increase in density in flash memories
Samsung has begun mass production of its 290-layer flash memory chips (compared to the current 236). In addition, it has plans to release chips with 430 layers in just over a year.

Nvidia developer works on Nouveau
A developer of the free driver for Nvidia GPUs, Nouveau, has started working for the graphics card manufacturer while continuing with the development of the aforementioned driver. This move means that the company is directly getting involved in the free option and it seems that their goal is to follow in AMD's footsteps.
LXQt 2.0 available
The second major version of LXQt is now available. The lightweight desktop environment based on Qt has migrated to version 6 of the libraries. There are changes in all its components and the short-term goal is to finalize compatibility with Wayland.
