gaming team advice

Hello friends, I turn to your advice once again...
A friend is asking me what gaming pc to get, I've been looking at pc components...but I get lost with so many configurations.
That's why I ask for your help!!!
What do you advise me that is neither too cheap nor too expensive...something in between and that is good?
With a good configuration and a powerful graphics card...
Thanks in advance...

@darko
I would advise you to choose the graphics card first based on the resolution you want to play at. Buying an RTX4080 to play on a 1080p monitor is absurd. Once you have the resolution clear, look for a minimum of 60 fps and an ideal of 144fps.-
I would say that for 1080p 144hz RTX4060. The AMD ones, like RX7600 or RX7600XT I find it hard to recommend them, the first one for power, amount of VRAM, bandwidth and the second one because it's almost like the first one, with double the VRAM (that's good), with more clock speed, but absurdly more expensive.

For 1440p, either the RTX4070 Super or the RX7800XT. I think they are the queens of this category but there are more options that depend on the price. In Nvidia it's more complicated because there are more models that cannibalize each other.

For 4k, either the RTX4080 or the RX7900XTX. I would completely rule out the RTX4090 because it's the most powerful of all but it's 2,000 euros and apart from 4 games, you don't take full advantage of its potential. That one is more for the professional range and even for Artificial Intelligence.
And then in CPU, go for one of the recent generation, minimum 6 cores/12 threads, (on July 31st AMD releases CPUs), There could be an R5 7600X or the famous king of gaming the R7 7800X3D. Intel also has good CPUs (I don't recommend the 14th generation, it's a rehash of a rehash) the i5 12600K is a beast or an i5 13400 (moderate price good performance).
RAM 16Gb is still enough but if you go to the DDR5 standard, the most recommended combos are usually two modules of 16Gb each at 6000MT CL40.
That's my advice but this of choosing components is something very personal.

@darko
The million dollar question.
What are you going to play and with what configuration?
Normal, ultra?
It's not the same to play the sims as a biosock / stalker

good question...I imagine powerful games but not sure if they are the latest generation.
In the end, with what pos_yo was telling me, with those components he said that the budget would skyrocket and as he wanted a built computer, I recommended this one that I saw on pccomponentes.
He can upgrade the disk in the future and increase the memory to 32gbytes...

I'm not sure if I got it right or NOT...but as he told me about the budget, that he should go with this one, you can't ask for the impossible
Many thanks to both of you for your help
bye!!! -
@darko No problem man. In the end, it's a good build. The thing is, I've preferred to put last generation components because of course, since it's not for me... Well, you try to make something that will last for years.

@darko what the critical reviews on pc components say.
It lacks the front fans of the tower.
The CPU cooler is the standard one.
Just right on RAM and poorly configured in the BIOS.
But everything can be fixed

bye!!!I think the only thing I would improve about the computer is the CPU, a Ryzen 5600/5600X would have been "perfect"
The 5500 has half the L3 cache, if I remember correctly. And that is noticeable in games, especially at minimum settings... which is where you notice more when you're just right to make games run more smoothly.The good thing is that you could upgrade it in time and look for a 5700X or if it were a 5800X3D it would be great. But well... a 5600 is also good. It's all a matter of money and "offers" you see.
The 3600 is a good GPU although I hope you are aware that it's already had its time and it will be insufficient sooner than it should, unless you are willing to lower the resolution, etc.
I hope you enjoy your PC, it's true that it's what you want the most when you have your new computer

Best regards!
