New stretchable display
LG has introduced a new display that can stretch up to 50% of its original size. The idea is to be able to use it to mimic the feel of buttons and wheels.
Core i9-14900HX
Someone has brought us a Core i9-14900HX. Despite being in 17th place in the overall ranking, it is the third fastest mobile micro we have. Its 24 Raptor Lake cores and a TDP of 55W help it comfortably surpass the one million point barrier.
Unresolved fault in D-Link NAS
A serious security flaw has been found in D-Link NAS devices that no longer have support for updates. The company has said that it will not update the 60,000 affected devices. The recommendation from the network device manufacturer is to discard old equipment and buy new models.
Core i3-N305
Namiga has brought us a Core i3-N305 in all modes. It is an 8-core Alder Lake with a TDP of only 15W. Despite the tight consumption, the processor is able to get a lot out of the 8 cores and almost reaches a quarter of a million points with which it fails to enter the top 100.
x86-64 patent expires
A few days ago, the patent for the 64-bit extension of x86 expired. x86 was born almost half a century ago, and the patents for the various extensions have been expiring over the years.
