Sony stops manufacturing recordable Blu-Rays
Sony is going to abandon a good number of digital storage media in its recordable version. The list includes MiniDisc, MD Data, MiniDV tapes and the most recent one, Blu-Ray.
Core Ultra 7 155H
Namiga brought us a Core Ultra 7 155H the other day in all modes. It is the first processor that reaches us with triple architecture. It has 6 P cores, 8 E cores and, as a novelty, 2 low-power E cores. It reaches 600 thousand points with which it gets the 63rd position in the general ranking.
Linux is malware for Meta
Distrowatch has been censored on Meta along with other Linux groups. The social network has labeled them as cybersecurity threats. As the press release from Distrowatch says, ironically, Facebook servers run on Linux.
Huawei processors in DeepSeek
The DeepSeek AI model has caused quite a stir in recent days in several fields, including the technical one. ASML and Nvidia say that thanks to greater efficiency, there will be more demand for advanced semiconductors. For their part, MS and OpenAI accuse the Chinese AI of using OpenAI data. And perhaps the most interesting thing is that it seems they have not used Nvidia GPUs, but a Huawei accelerator.
New frame interpolation
The presentation of the RTX 50 series has brought new drivers that come with something called Smooth Motion. It does something similar to Frame Generation (interpolates frames between two rendered frames), but it works in any game, without needing specific support as happens with Frame Generation. It only works on the RTX 50.
