This has been a quiet week on the front page (after another completely blank one) and the next one looks the same. Let's see if in a couple of weeks we can get back to the usual pace:RTX 50 with missing ROPs
Nvidia has released some chips from the RTX 50 series that are missing pixel rendering units (ROPs). CPU-Z is able to detect if the card in question has this defect when a result is validated. For now, it is not known why Nvidia is not meeting the specifications.
Firefox 136 available
Firefox 136 comes with vertical tabs. In addition, all connections are attempted in HTTPS first and if it fails, it tries an HTTP connection. Video acceleration has also been enabled for AMD GPUs on Linux.
Brother says it won't block generic cartridges
A few days ago, news came out saying that a firmware update for certain models of Brother printers would prevent the use of generic cartridges. The company has denied that this update causes the block.
