Record-breaking new data center
Softbank has said it will build a data center in Ohio that will consume 10GW, a third of all the power produced in the state. To power it, a gas plant will be built that will supply power equivalent to 10 nuclear power plants.
Steam goes 64-bit
Valve is starting to drop support for its game distribution client in 32-bit. With this, it will no longer be necessary to install 32-bit libraries on 64-bit systems. This change does not affect Steam games, but the program itself.
FCC bans foreign routers
The US federal communications commission has banned the sale of routers that have been manufactured outside the country. At present, the US produces zero routers a year.
