      @alexrp1990:

      Hello everyone, I have an AMD Asus Radeon 5970 graphics card, if you remember it was and still is a powerhouse, today skyrim started to run badly on it, with sudden drops in fps, in the end it seems that it was because of the drivers that were messing up, the problem came later, I noticed that one of the green leds keeps flashing and another right next to it is static, the one that is static and on I had noticed before but the flashing one I don't remember seeing it work like that before.
      Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening?:wall:
      I'm scared it's going to break, it cost me around 570€ and it has worked great for me for 3 and a half years.

      Best regards.

      Well if it breaks now you can take advantage of upgrading to other cheaper ones that will run better in games like Skyrim, the problem with your card is its low vram, now games require more memory, I had the same problem with a 295, it holds its own in terms of power but as it is limited by memory in the end a newer monogpu is better, I removed it and put a 470 which runs better, plus it's monogpu and I got it cheap.

      But now you have cards that won't be that expensive and will perform better in dx11 and will run better because they have 2 or 3GB of memory, if the card works well I wouldn't worry about the flashing light.

      The sudden drops in FPS could be due to lack of Vram, bottlenecks, stuttering, lack of smoothness and Skyrin as it gets mods it will ask for even more memory.

      I personally don't like duals because when they come out and are the most powerful they are expensive, but then when newer cards come out they lose a lot of value, plus the new ones come out better prepared in terms of power and vram, more powerful in Dx, that's why in the end graphics that perform even less than duals run better in games, it's preferable to go for the cheaper ranges over 250€ and upgrade earlier when the next generation comes out.

      regards

      Y como una vez leí. Si tu procesador dura 10 años, en promedio, si haces overclok te durará 7. Y no creo sinceramente que vayas a tener esa máquina más de 4 ;D

      Pues no sabría decirte, si fuera para lanzar samples de audio en directo o SO tengo claro que vendrá bien pero con el chess, depende de como funcionen las librerías de jugadas, a ver si se va a dejar unos buenos euros pudiendo conseguir un rendimiento similar con buen secuencial. Buff, sí que ocupas en SO… Me da que si no toca un eurimillón o sacan algo híbrido nanai de sólidos :risitas: La verdad es que si no le diera al audio y tuviera controladora Intel me montaría a gusto un Matrix 0+1 de discos grandes pero como también viene bien el rendimiento en muestras de sonido no me es tan interesante. El Slice es un inventazo :sisi: A mí tampoco me molan los Raptor pero esto es algo personal, la verdad es que un Raptor para default (o cualquiera que ocupe más de 200GB) no lo veo mal tampoco, algo caro si eso. PD: Ojo, dentro de 2 horas arranca la F1 de verdad
