Prescott = P4 Extreme Edition???

Pues estando el Prescott no tiene mucho sentido vender el EE no?? ya que fabricar el Prescott debe ser más "fácil" y "barato" que el EE no?
Los P4 Xeon tb llevan L3 on-die o en placa?

PD: perdonar mi ignorancia pero… como se nota que desde mi P200MMX no he vuelto a tener Intel jejejeejjeje -
De los P4 Xeon creo que existen varias versiones, una la normal, que no es más que un P4 Northwood FSB533 que se vende como Xeon, y otra versión que es con 2 megas de L3 (Exactamente igual que el P4EE) pero con bus 533, y este micro cuesta una passssssta.
En cuanto a costes de fabricación, el coste del Emergency Edition es altísimo, ten en cuenta que lleva 2 megas de L3, y eso son muuuuuuuuchos transistores, y es fácil que falle alguno de ellos. Como dato creo recordar que el Northwood lleva unos 60 millones de transistores, y el P4EE 170 millones.
El Athlon 64 creo que son 100 millones

Cuantos modelos de P4 prescott hay ahora mismo en el mercado??
Como diferenciar-los, por los que eh visto solo me pone Intel Confidential, y varias referencias.

El Pentium 4 no es un Prescott o viceversa.
Los modelos Prescott en este momento tengo entendido que van de 2800Mhz a 3400Mhz, pero en verdad en venezuela hasta ahora solo podemos verlos en revistas y fotos.

No entiendo como puedes decir esto, cuando el prescott ya está en la calle desde hace algún tiempo, y mucha gente lo ha comprado ya….
