Problema con un archivo: MPLAYER2.exe

Recientemente desinstalé el visor multimedia realoneplayer y también el windows media player y me instalé el BSplayer. El caso es que ahora cuando descargo videos, al final me sale el siguiente mensaje de error: no se encuentra el archivo mplayer2.exe, de tal modo que no puedo ver ningún tipo de video descargado. Además cuando intento ver un CD me ocurre el mismo problema, y me sale el mensaje de error: no se encuentra el archivo mplayer2.exe.
cuál es el problema?
existe alguna forma de solucionarlo?
