7v y sensor de rpm's

He estado provando lo de los 7v y me he dado cuenta que cuando enchufo los ventiladores a este voltaje el sensor de rpm's deja de funcionar, mientras que en 5 o 12v no hay problema alguno. Los ventiladores en concreto son unos Thermaltake de 12x12 (los que vienen con la caja Tsunami sin ventana). Existe alguna solución a este problema? o voy a tener que pasar sin las rpm's?
