Según The Inquirer, ATI está apunto de lanzar la versión AGP de su exitosa X800 GTO. Consistirá en un core R420 (AGP nativo) a las mismas velocidades que las partes en PCI-e, y por supuesto, un quad anulado. Las veremos en las tiendas a partir de la semana próxima.La cosa no acaba aquí, ya que también se esperan versiones AGP de las X1600 y X1300 gracias al chip puente Rialto. La primera llegará a mediados o finales de enero, y la segunda ya entrado febrero. No se esperan más modelos de gama alta en AGP, eso ya parece definitivo.
