Problema con monitor ViewSonic VE710s

Cambie mi monitor de 17 por un Plano Viewsonic - ahora todo se ve mas chico - con mayor definicion y nitidez pero mas chico.
La mayoria de las paginas web, ocupan 2/3 de la pantalla desde la izquierda, quedandome 1/3 en blanco.
Alguna idea - tengo los ultimos drivers del monitor, sobre XP en un Pemtium IV - placa Intel 82845 G/GL/GE/PE/GV gra. Controlers. 512 Mram.
