W$ xp y ram

Hola a todos, tengo un problema con un xp que aparentemente no coge los 4 modulos de memoria de 1GB cada uno que tiene instalado el ordenador,en Propiedades de Mi Pc solo aparecen 3 GB, he revisado los modulos y parecen bien conectados, ¿el xp no reconoce 4 GB de ram?, donde encontrar informacion clara de como w$ xp trabaja con la memoria?. Gracias.

Windows Xp no reconoce los 4 gb de Ram y el Vista tampoco, 3.25.
