Fallo en el apagado de mi portatil

Mi portatil, con S.O winXp media center, al quere apagarlo, tarda 5 minutos en actuar y hacerlo.
Si alguien tiene el mismo problema y sabe a que se debe, ruego ayuda… ya que por lo demas no hay ningun fallo en el ordenador, a pesar de que me notifica que el service pack tiene un fallo y se cierra :S

¿Has intentado actualizar el S.O. a través de Internet?
Es posible que se descargue alguna actualización que solucione tu problema. Si no, lo mejor es instalar el Recovery Pack (formatea y reinstala todo como de casa, con la consiguiente pérdida de datos si no tienes cuidado…), o como se llame y listo.
