Placa Base Asus - ¿Chipset Nvidia o AMD?

Hola,
Vuelvo a reclamar de vuestra fuente de sabiduría..
Desconozco que diferencias hay entre los chipset de Nvidia y de Amd.
Estoy mirando placas Asus AM3 para un AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, con una Asus Ati EAH5770..
Qué placa me recomendaríais? y más que placa… que chipset?

Prefiero el chipset de AMD y la placa mas recomendable sería la Gigabyte GA-790FXTA-UD5 Socket AM3 GA-790FXTA-UD5 - Placa AMD

Con 790X ya va bien, Asus, Gigabyte o MSI, a tu gusto. Si no quieres Crossfire puedes plantearte incluso una 770.
PD: Supongo que cambiarás la fuente
