Placas ASUS sobre 80\. Dudas.

Estoy montandome un pc nuevo y se me plantea esta duda entre dos placas:
PLACA AMD ASUS M4A78 PRO AM3 DDR2 PCX HD3200 HDMI
PLACA AMD ASUS M4N78 PRO AM3 DDR2 PCX ATX HDMI esta lleva una Geforce 8300
¿Por cual me decido? Valen igual pero me gustaría decidirme por un motivo lógico …
¿Puedo usar un procesador QUAD CORE AM2 en una placa AM3?

1: porque no escojes una placa AM2+?
2: Personalmente prefiero la 1º opcion.PD: los am2+ no entran en placas am3. Son los am3 los que entran en placas am2+.
