No funciona el lcd

Hola tengo un lcd casero antes funcionaba perfectamente en XP pero ahora he cambiado a 2000 y no funciona .
Sabriais decirme si puede ser por los drivers?, la verdad que he vuelto a soldar los cables otra vez y ya no se que mas hacer
el valor del dlport tiene que ser alguno en concreto?, y el del lcd smartie ? estoy perdido .GRACIAS

intenta probarlo en otro pc para comprobar que funcione bien el LCD
