Grabadora de DVD por fireware o usb2.0

wenas!! Estoy mirando de traerme una grabadora de dvd para el portatil, la grabadora seria la sony dual. Lo ke no se es como puede ser el rendimiento de la grabadora por un puerto fireware o un usb 2.0? o si traerme una interna con una carcasa para hacerla esterna aunke q m han dicho q esto ultimo es una tonteria y q no rinde bien lo unico q t ahorras unas pelas?
