Problemas con los tar.gz en Mandrake 9.2

Saludos, llevo unas semanas con Linux, mas concretamente con mandrake 9.2, el problema es que no puedo instalar los tar.gz, los descomprimo pero a la hora de ejecutar los scripts de instalacion, empieza el proceso pero se para dando el mensaje de error que esta en negrita:

configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity checkUna vez que llega aqui me devuelve el prompt, pro ahora lo que tocado en el equipo ha sido la instalacion de la aceleracion 3D, flash y java para Opera y configurar urpmi para que busque en los repositorios de mandrake cooker.

Eso sale porque no tienes instalado ningun compilador de C/C++
Instalate las herramientas de configuracion, o simplemente gcc i g++
