Es posible una instalacion universal?

tengo un par de ordenadores con problemas sobre todo a la hora de instalar windows xp…me pregunto si existe alguna manera de instalar el xp en un ordenador, y migrar a otro completamente distinto sin que se vuelva loco y tal...quitando por completo los controladores quiza??

podrías hacer una imagen con sysprep forzando el plug&play, y es posible que te funcione en otro equipo diferente (depende de cuanto de diferente sea)
