Mi duda es: si es obligatorio meter el W.XP para manejar los discos duros SATA o vale con otros S.O como el W.2000 o w.98SE.

Te puedo decir, que yo he utilizado Windows 2000 y HDD´s SATA sin ningún tipo de problemas.
