Control remoto Kworld

Tengo una tarjeta sintonizadora PVR-TV 878 Kworld que viene con control remoto. Me gustaría poder ver películas que tengo y utilizar el control remoto para cambiar el volumen, avanzar, retroceder, pausar, etc. pero tengo los siguientes problemas:
1.- El mando no funciona con otros reproductores (winamp, windows media player , vlc)
2.- No consigo ver las peliculas utilizando el programa que me facilitan con la tarjeta (supongo que con él si que podría utilizar el mando)Por si sirve de ayuda os diré que las películas las tengo en el disco duro y son en diversos formatos.
Agradecería que alguien me ayudará a solucionar mi problema.
