Problema con Ram en asrock p4vt8+

Bien amigos mi problema es este…... esta mañana fui a comprar una memoria de 512 Mb DDR Pc3200 (400Mhz) y resulta que al instalarla en mi placa base mi pc arranca, pero se me queda la pantalla completamente negra y se reinicia continuamente el pc, sucede esto a pesar de que en las especificaciones de mi placa base pone que acepta 400Mhz, actualmente estoy con 333Mhz. Solo queria que me dijesen si es que no vale pa mi pc o si la instalo mal por que no lo entiendo sinceramente.....
