Pregunta sobre filtros de juegos

hola, nose si aqui se hace esta pregunta…. en ciertos juegos, aparece en la configuracion de video los filtros antistropic y antialiasing...el antialiasing sino me equivoco se relaciona con el shader model(corriganme si me equivoco) ( en el juego call of juarez con el shader model 3.0 no se activa la opcion antialiasing y en el modo de 2.0 si se activa)... mi pregunta es q funcion cumplen ambos, el antialiasing y el antistripic, y cual es mejor ( si es q se pueden clasificar asi).
