Según publican en TG Daily, los procesadores Bloomfield y Lynnfield, miembros destacados de la familia Nehalem, incluirán funciones de overclocking para hasta ocho núcleos de la CPU (16 hilos).
TG Daily asegura que los rumores de que Intel no dejaría que se overclockearan sus procesadores Nehalem son falsos. Tal vez lo hagan en el área de control de memoria, pero desde luego no en los núcleos de la CPU.
