7700 vs 8700

Pues actualmente poseo un Zalman 7700Cu por que mi caja no permite nada más grande (Aerocube) pero viendo reviews y por ahí he visto un nuevo modelo de Zalman que es el 8700 y que tiene unos 10º de diferencia con el 7700. Es cierto? he visto una versión plateada que parece aluminio pero es cobre, esto por qué?
Actualmente con mi 7700 y un e6600 tengo unos 28/29º con el ventilador al mínimo (por rehobus), notaré mejoría? mi intención es hacerle overclock. Poner 400Mhz de FSB y dejar el multi en 8x (si aguanta x9 a temperatura razonable y sin aumento excesivo de vcore sería planteable)
Qué os parece la idea?
