Cable audio de lector de cd

Pues no le tengo cable de audio al lector sin embargo con el winamp 3 escucho los cd´s pero con el 2 no, alguna explicacion a eso ?

puede q winamp 3 se salte a la torera la eleccion de transporte de la señal y extraiga el audio digitalmente (por el cable IDE vaya…)
