me da este fallo, alguien sabe como se soluciona????
[root@fino1 mysql]# service mysqld start
Iniciando base de datos MySQL: Sorry, the host 'fino1' could not be looked up.
Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with
the –force option

Ya esta arreglao , tenia ke cambiar en el fichero /etc/hosts el nombre de la makina (localhost) por fino1 , y ya funciona sin problemas,

ostias es verdad, si te fijas en mi howto del server cuando instalo el MySQL me dice que tengo que hacer varias cosas…esto:
NOTA: Cuando instalemos "mysql-server" nos dira que tendremos k hacer unas cosas, lo resumo aki:
# vim /etc/hosts ```Añadir la siguiente linia: (pulsamos "i") 127.0.0.1 myhostname (pulsamos "esc", ":wq")Siento no haber caido en eso…:susto:
