No logro los dos monitores

Un i7 con windows 7-67
tarjeta gráfica GeForce 9800 GT de 1 GB (tiene varios años)Los monitores son
LG L1918S-SN
ACER G236HLPor separado me funcionan
la tarjeta sólo me reconoce uno
no se si estoy haciendo algo mal en la configuraciónnecesitaria me ayudaran a revisar todo el proceso.

¿Has configurado el panel de control de nVidia para multiples pantallas?

Yo si no recuerdo mal lo tengo montado de la siguiente manera (estoy en el curro).
La tarjeta gráfica tiene varios conectores (hdmi, vga y DVi), el monitor grande lo tengo conectado por hdmi y el otro monitor(antoguo) conectado por vga a la misma tarjeta grafica y muevo aplicaciones de una pantalla a otra como si fuera una extensión del mismo.
A lo mejor no es la forma adecuada pero a mi me funciona.
