Crosfire Ati 5770 vs GTX 560 TI.
-
I tried an EVGA 560ti FPB this week and it worked really well and it costs €199 I've seen around, better than a 5770 alone, and they perform very well, I've tried several assemblers and I really liked this one, plus it comes overclocked from the factory.
-
I think the GTX560ti will perform about the same as the HD5770 CF. But the advantage of the 560ti is that you will only have one graphics card and won't have to worry about the CF not working well in some games.
Anyway, under a 775 platform you probably won't get the full potential out of that HD5770 CF you have/had.
The only downside is that the GTX560ti is more CPU dependent than the Ati, and you might need to overclock the Q6600 a bit to get more out of the graphics card.
Regards!

The Q6600 is overclocked to 3200 Mhz, I can't go any higher because it's a furnace. It has a Fsb of 8x400=3200.
Since it's Qdr, the fsb works at 1600 Mhz (the bus of the motherboard)
Not bad at all.
In 3dMark11 the Crossfire of 5770 gave me 4800 and with Oc the 2 Vgas almost 5100.
Too bad Ati drivers are so regular.
I think I'll see improvement with the Gtx 560 ti.
Thanks for responding. -
Well it's curious that they gave you so many problems with the HD5770, I saved some minor issues when assembling them because they weren't exactly the same, I haven't had any with any game and I also play at full in 1920x1200, but these are the mysteries of the hardware that continually puts us to the test :|.
Here you can see the results of the 3DMark 2011 with the crossfire of 5770 stock and with OC and compare them with the results of Bm4n who has a GTX 560 Ti.
Best regards.

The CFde 5770 should perform more than well, I say that compared to a single 560, it has quite a bit more power. -

I also have different brands. One is an Asus Cucore and the other is a normal Sapphire.
For fun, try Crysis 2 in DX11 and you'll see what a headache it gives you.
Or Lost Planet 2 in DX11, sometimes it looks like slides instead of a game.
I also ran 3DMark11 and my results are very similar.4800 points stock:

Almost 5100 with OC:

But in some games, which is what matters, I don't feel that power that 3Dmark11 tells me.
Try it, try Crysis 2 in Dx11
Lost PLanet 2 DX11
Hydrophobia Prophecy
They're Alive
Dirt 3 I had to remove the mirrors option because it would freeze. Here's a video of how Crysis 2 DX11 runs for me, it doesn't matter the resolution or graphics quality, it always runs the same way. My PC is virus-free, I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2011:
And then tell us how it went.
I use drivers 11.7 and Ati Profiles 11.7 Cap1, the computer was just formatted. And the truth is, the performance in some games is frustrating.
Best regards and thanks for your reply. -
After testing Crysis 2 and Dirt 3 I can tell you that I didn't notice big drops, of course in Crysis with everything at 1920x1200 and full, at the moments of explosions the FPS drop but nothing compared to the jumps shown in the video.
And in Dirt 3 at 1920x1200 and everything on ultra, passing the bench that includes the game I get an average of 51.81 FPS and a minimum of 41.59 FPS.Best regards

Did you play Crysis 2 in DX 11?? I say this because in DX 9 it went perfect.
It was to put the patch 1.9, the dx11 pack and High Textures Pack and it was a nightmare. The 2 gpus didn't run at full load continuously sometimes even dropping below 50%.Dirt 3 runs very well for me but when I played for more than half an hour it would freeze. I read on google that it's a bug in the game because of the rearview mirrors graphics option. I disabled it and had zero problems. I imagine that an update of the game will fix that bug.
But the thing with Crysis in DX11 is very annoying, did you see the video I posted showing how it stutters?? It's because the gpu load drops to 50%. I checked it with Msi After Burner.
Does it really run well with DX11?
Best regards and thanks.

Indeed, after all the patching, DX11 and high textures, playing at 1920x1200, DX11 activated and ultra graphic settings, that is, everything maxed out, it works for me with an average of 40 FPS and in scenes with a lot of movement (like the one you put in the video) it drops to 26 FPS but it never gave me those jumps.
All this with the processor and graphics with stock configurations and the two graphics support a very similar load and with temperatures of about 65º at full load.
Anyway, it increases a lot the speed by going down to the Extreme graphic configuration which, after all, has a lot of guts to move such a game at those resolutions and that level of detail, I suppose that an SLI of GTX580 will move it very fluidly
With Dirt 3 it's the same although I have noticed that one graphic is shown to be a bit lazier :risitas: but maybe it's that the game is not fully optimized.
I sincerely believe that your problem may not have been due to the graphics but to the processor or some incompatibility/bad driver installation.
Best regards

I have already found the problem, I removed some Gadgets that monitored the temperatures of the Vgas and Cpu. CoreTemp and GpuObserver. And it no longer gives those jumps.
Here is a video of how it goes now, when recording with fraps you notice the drop in Fps, but in reality it goes to 50 Fps, it is already very tight for the Q6600@3200 to do so much work:
At 1920x1080 it works for me with an average of 25/35 fps and I prefer to play at 1440x900 which goes to an average of 50 fps.
I have also noticed that by disabling motion blur you can almost play in Ultra at 1920x1080 but the game no longer looks the same.
Thanks to everyone for helping me and greetings. -
I'm glad the problem has been solved, it was strange that it would stay like that, standing still.
Best regards
