Conan the Barbarian, 2011 Remake... by Crom I killed someone!!!

Well, the protagonist in question is Jason Momoa, who is indeed Khal Drogo in the TV series "Game of Thrones" ("A Song of Ice and Fire" is the novel series.) and also played Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis for 4 seasons.
He's not a bad actor for this role, I think they're looking for a more "active" and agile Conan, something that an "Arnold-type Conan" probably couldn't offer, better to entertain with scenes full of jumps, somersaults and impossible punches than with brute muscle and two caveman punches :p.
Although, I have to admit that female hormones will also fill cinemas :risitas:Regards

I'm a fan of Conan and I'll have to see the movie, but I fear the worst of the worst, not only because the protagonist lacks energy on all sides, but because the trailer smells of nonsense from a km away. Let's see how it is but I don't have much hope. If anyone sees it, a mini review wouldn't be bad :risitas:
Greetings!

When I saw the trailer I couldn't believe it.

It's like they took any other masterpiece (Delta Force, for example)
and changed Chuck to a puppet.
If you tell me it's okay, maybe I'll be encouraged but I'll be scared to download it. They don't even respect the classics anymore. :nono: -
Arnold's was pretty, and the barbarians were supposed to be like that, like chuache XD.

I knew him for this role, as a fan of Stargate that I am :chuckles: Well, I suppose I should acknowledge that I'm not a fan of Conan the Barbarian, haha, but anyway, maybe I'll watch it after all.
And the fact that a boss I had was an extra in one of the movies and they filmed a part in Ávila, or so he told me. Although of course, he had more hair back then.Best regards!!

I'm picking this up a bit because of a news story I saw on TV today.
The caves where part of the footage for Conan the Barbarian (the one with Arnold) was filmed are being demolished to make a shopping center. They are the caves of San Roque, in Almería.Wow, they don't even respect that

Best regards.P.S.: I heard that Schwarzenegger is coming to shoot it out with the workers, and when he filmed Conan he already said: I'll be back... Mmmm, maybe it wasn't with the one from Conan.... xD

Man of course...it won't be a turnip field..:smilies::smilies:.
And what girls..we know one from the series haunted...the redhead. And the other among other things from the 5th season of Alias, appearances in the series Criminal Minds and the movie Star Trek (2009) or G.I.Joe.
Best regards.

the movie seems more interesting
although in a nostalgic way, neither the Valkyrie, nor the witch, nor the silly little princess was bad at all ;D

They've made the original Conan a work of art, and Arnold's role as a barbarian a textbook reference. What is a barbarian but a babbling beast with a lethal instinct to kill and destroy? Why have they turned him into a metrosexual? How did they intend to make a blockbuster by turning a landmark in the sword and sorcery genre into mass media for teenage girls? Did they try to get it into the "Twilight" vibe???? I don't get it.

I still haven't seen it and everyone I know who has seen it says the same thing that it's very weak and this one is terrible, he already looked a bit out of place in stargate, he looked like a mime instead of a guy who had to deliver milk like bread.

I must say I saw the remake shortly after it came out and to compare it with the original I watched the one with Schwarzy again... and the truth is, from the point of view of pure entertainment, I find the modern one more enjoyable, I agree that it's a classic that we all carry in our memory and in our heart but I think it happened to me like when you watch those cartoons that drove you crazy as a kid and you think..."wow...I used to love this?".
Always from the point of view of entertainment, the modern one is more "active" compared to the 20 minutes without a single dialogue of the old one, which ends with the annoying music up to the brim.
But inevitably the new one will suffer the same fate as all the movies designed to entertain...it will be lost in the memory of time and in the future when Conan is mentioned, people will always remember Schwarzenegger and his 1982 movie...as it should be.
Best regards
