I have always wondered that if you write something with a permanent marker on the recording surface of a disc (without writing on the first or last sectors), you burn the disc and then with a cotton swab and alcohol you erase the marker ¿does the shadow of what you wrote appear? I suppose so, but the question is whether it would be possible to record a disc without the recorder giving an error.

Let's see if I try it one day.

I suppose it would give an error, but now that you mention it, it sounds like there was some software or something like that that recorded shapes, something like lightscribe but on the data side

No, it often happens that you put in a disc with a stain or speck and when you record it, there is a white spot where the data is obviously missing and it gives an error.
