Hello, it had been a long time since I last visited the forum, but encouraged by Krhonhos, I want to share my experience with a Dell order.

Fifteen days ago, I decided to buy 3 laptops from Dell (about €1700 in total), one in my name and the other 2 in another person's name, but in all 3 I put my in-laws' house as the delivery address and paid with my card.

Well, it turns out that on Friday, February 3rd, they told me that on Monday, February 6th, I would receive the computers without any problems, and from here begins the Almodovar movie:

      • On Monday, February 6th, I received an email in the morning telling me that the quality service had been trying to contact me (damn! it must be a missed call I have from a 900 number on Friday) and that since they couldn't do so, they canceled my order. I automatically called Dell's customer service and they told me not to worry that the order was sent and that it couldn't be canceled, that I shouldn't do anything.

      • Since I didn't receive it, I checked the UPS tracking and it said that I had rejected it at 7:45 PM (and that's when the delivery time is until 6:00 PM), and I saw that I had received an email from my Dell sales representative, Lorena Cano, complaining about a receipt in my name at the delivery address, I replied telling her that I don't live there and that I can't send it to her, at the same time explaining to her what the delivery address issue is.

      • Here I recommend that you sit down if you are reading this from a mobile or tablet. The sales representative replied telling me that I have to send her a receipt in my in-laws' name with their ID and mine!!!! I replied again that I don't intend to send her anything from my in-laws because they have nothing to do with this and it's data that I won't share. And at that moment I remember that I receive my mobile bill there and I scan it and attach it. Well, it turns out that the mobile bill is not valid, it has to be for water or gas (what a delicacy) to which I reply that it's the only thing I can send and that if they don't accept it, they should refund my money. This was between February 6th and 8th.

      • And on February 10th, I wrote an email to Lorena Cano's manager, Jorge Lagdas, telling him about the problem and attaching the emails to see if he could give me a solution and always telling them that if they weren't going to give me the laptops (because of their internal policy), then they should refund my money and the problem would be over.

      • This gentleman didn't reply to me, nor to the other 3 emails I have sent him. But they did call me from customer service a couple of hours after sending the email. And they told me that they were having many problems with credit card payments (the sales representative told me that if I wanted to pay with a credit card, I didn't tell her) and I replied that a week ago they had taken the money from my account and that in any case, the problem was mine (all this made me laugh). She said she would call me and tell me something.

      • On Tuesday, the 14th, after not receiving any news, I decided to call customer service and they put me through with the same one who called me on Friday and he told me that they couldn't locate me (and I did locate him on Friday without any problems and I haven't changed my phone or company, well it's the phone I use for work and I have it operational 24 hours a day). And that I would receive them at the end of the week, I said "ok give me the tracking", he gave it to me and I looked and one said returned to the seller and the other rejected by me (hahahaha here the level of astonishment was maximum) I told him and he said that there was some problem on the web and he would call me on Wednesday, as he didn't call me, I called again and he said he would check and call me.

      • Today, Thursday the 16th, I still haven't received any news and I decided to call (I wanted to laugh) and he told me the same old story that it's blocked from Quality and that he can't do anything and that he has been calling me countless times (I'm going to call Vodafone to change my phone because it seems that it's blocked for Dell) and he told me the last joke, "look so that you don't have more problems we are going to refund your money so that you can make the order again and facilitate the papers they are asking for". With convulsions I told him that Benedict XVI would make the order again and that he should ask the airbag guy for the papers. That's enough, after a week telling him to refund my money, they decide now "so that I don't have problems", damn if I haven't had all the problems in the world already.

I also told him that I live rented and that the water and gas bills come in my landlord's name and that he would probably laugh at me if I asked for his ID to be able to buy a laptop. To which he passed by olímpically.

Moral of the story, if you don't live at the delivery address and you have a certificate of empadronamiento, bills in your name, ID without expiring and more moral than the Alcoyano, please refrain from buying from Dell, your health will thank you.

      Regards and thanks for reading.

and have they already returned the money?
madre mia what a horror film. What I don't understand is that once you have been paid, they ask for receipts and other things, I could understand it for making the payment, but for delivering it?

Hello Papi George, first of all, greetings and welcome back. Let's see if we meet this year. Second, what a story with this case. I've only ever placed 2 orders from Dell and everything went well, but one of them has to fail and it's an agony for you. What a movie, my friend.

These situations with useless operators and internal bureaucracies get on my nerves.

I hope these problems are resolved soon and at least they return your money soon.

Bloody hell, with the enthusiasm with which these orders are placed and they mess it up in this way :osvaisacagar:

            Best regards

Let's see if I stop by EK this year, now it's very inconvenient for me.

Packo has had the money since last Monday, and when they called me last Friday I told them that it had been a week since they had the money, so don't give me stories about having problems with some payments.

From the first email they sent me asking for receipts, I told them I wouldn't send anything from my in-laws and that if a phone bill was good enough for them, otherwise they should return my money.

With each email I repeated that they should return my money and they never said anything.

The funny thing is that today they tell me they are returning it so I don't have more problems (thanks for the concern) and when I say that I won't be able to buy laptops from them because the receipts for my house are in the name of my landlord and I won't be able to give them my ID because they would be shocked, the guy doesn't answer, he just stays quiet, and I tell him that after 15 days of asking for a refund, now it's a crime and the same goes for them.

Not even a sorry, not even an excuse, they haven't even tried to fix anything.

I'm starting to think that the sales person messed up with the budget at some point and they can't give me the order, which is why there's so much going on.

The reason they asked for receipts was because they needed to check that I had a relationship with the order address, as if I'm insane and would send €1700 in laptops to the first address that comes to mind.

The funny thing is that I want to buy from Dell but they won't let me jajajajajajaja.

And Spain with these unemployment rates...

Papi George look no further, the laptops have been sent to me :ugly:

Sorry, but a tremendous story to keep you awake. At this rate, the laptops would have arrived when they were already obsolete :wall:

Jajajajajaja I was telling Krhonhos yesterday that I almost preferred that they didn't arrive because if they put all these objections to buy them, I don't want to tell you if they come with any defect or bump...<

My God, let's see if it's going to be a UPS thing those rejections that sometimes if the same name as the one on the order isn't signed they don't want to release it, what I'm telling you happened to me with SEUR not with UPS but anyway...

Some companies do this with the data when making the payment, to prevent the payment from being made with a stolen card sending it to you and then having them return it. But it is usually done before charging it, not after, at least that's how they did it to me last year when taking out some plane tickets to Germany.
Anyway, when something gets in your way it's annoying, so now pray that they don't take 1 month to return the money.
If you see that they are dragging their feet, try talking to the bank to see if they can return the charge without a report, and if not, go to the police station and file a report for fraud

Well the occasion is worth it, so I've even bothered an admin to change my user email so I can get in ?

What a long winded post dad, but as I said today for a small price I'll place the order that I want delivered to me :fumeta:

                        HAHAHAHA ?

I understand that they want to check, but what we talked about is that they already have the money for days.

He told me that in 4 days maximum I have it, but tomorrow I will call the bank to see if they can do something because I don't trust them.

What calls my attention the most is the lack of interest, at no time have they tried to solve it, every time I get the feeling that the saleswoman messed up the offer and that it got out of hand and they forced the situation to not give me the laptops.

Now I have another problem, the other two computers have already been paid for and I convinced them to get them from Dell, now to see how I tell them that everything is messed up. And I don't know if I should make another order or send them to take a hike, because if I make another order they won't deliver it because of what I said about the receipts.

I suppose that if you pay by transfer you won't have any problems (I've always bought from Dell by transfer and we've never had any problems, although given what I've seen...)

I'll try again, it annoys me that the one who proposed the card was the sales person, me, like everyone, always buys by transfer.

I'll try when they return the equipment.

Yesterday, angry, like an angry monkey, I sent an incendiary email to the Dell manager explaining why the quality system of one of the most important multinationals in the world (in terms of computing) does not work and I passed the link to this post.

I hope they deign to reply and at least be able to comment on what has happened because as I have already said they have ignored me, showing no interest in fixing anything.

                                Welcome back Papi,

I, as always, would recommend that you file a formal complaint through the complaints service of the corresponding Autonomous Community. In Madrid, you can do it directly online. The company is obliged to respond to you within a period of, I believe, two months and normally makes every effort so that when they give you the answer the matter is resolved.

The complaint thus presented is officially recorded for all purposes and is a necessary step to, at some point, even go to court.

You have every chance of winning in this situation as they have your money … At least you will expedite the matter.

They have already returned part of the money, as they did in 2 orders…

Let's see when they think about returning the rest.
