I've tried it and I don't like it, the one I use the most is Dropbox but in terms of style as an alternative I would go with Box which gives much more storage.

I stick with my ftp server: quick to access, with many gb at my disposal and without fear for my privacy (although I have to investigate a bit about sftp).

It's a matter of needs. For example, I prefer Sugarsync because I have quite a few options to configure things to my liking, I find Dropbox too basic and what really kills me is that it doesn't allow you to sync folders outside of its own, although it will be my first alternative if I need more space. I have an account with Box but I don't just want a simple place to put files, a proper application to sync folders between different PCs is essential for me as you may have seen if you read the first post.

Greetings to all and thanks for the comments,

Of course, I suppose it all depends on how you use it. I like Dropbox because it is compatible with everything and integrates as another folder in all operating systems without menus or configurations, and I store many work documents directly there (tablet and android mobile, osx laptop, fedora desktop...). But if you want to share folders that you already have without moving them, it would be a good option.

EDITO: Thanks to the moderator who edited my post to remove my referral when, apart from giving me 500MB as a "referrer", it gives the same extra space to anyone who creates an account. And above all, thanks for warning me if I was breaking any kind of rule. I think I deserved at least some kind of warning. So that you can see that the reason for the post was not to "get rich" from referrals, I will leave the post for anyone who is interested to see it and benefit from it if appropriate. The truth is that these ways kill me, they make me not want to keep visiting the forum, even though I have been here for a short time, something has to be started.

Since you say you've used it, I encourage you to give it a second chance. It has interesting features like listening to your music via streaming on any device without having to download it, sharing folders with other users with a password, etc.

However, I also understand that it may not adapt much to your uses because I see that you have Linux on your desktop and it's a big mess that it doesn't support it. I don't know what they're waiting for to release a client.

That is the problem I see, since I use Windows/Linux/Android. For the moment I use Dropbox, but if they ported Sugarsync I would not hesitate to give it a try, unless Dropbox allows you to choose other folders once and for all...

To be honest, SugarSync has apps for almost everything, so it's a bit incomprehensible that they haven't released a client for Linux.

Dropbox, due to the competition it's facing, I wouldn't be surprised if it increased the free storage to 5GB, what I find very difficult is that they would put more advanced options like sharing any folder, etc. I think many people use Dropbox apart from being the most well-known for being very basic and easy to use. Basically, the Dropbox client for Windows is an icon that takes care of syncing its folder, it doesn't have many more options. Turning that into a more advanced client probably wouldn't be convenient for them. That's what there is, today what's in vogue are simple things even if they're not as functional as others.

                      regards,

Well, I won't be for free and for space:
                        Google Drive 5GB
                        Dropbox 9GB
                        Box 50GB
