Problems with HP G62-b80SS
-
First of all, a greeting and a pleasure to start the forum, since I have been an observer for some time now, but so far I have not needed to comment, and I appreciate the work you do with the forum.
The problem: I have a 15-inch HP G62 laptop with an i3 M370, but the problem has to do with the fan, just a few months after buying it, it started giving me problems, spinning at full speed even though the processor was cold and if I didn't restart it, it would eventually turn off. I sent it to HP and the only thing they did was change the fan, and a month later it started doing it again. It does it even when it's just turned on with the computer completely cold, which wouldn't be necessary to cool the micro in such a beastly way (it looks like a 747), and the end is always the same, it ends up turning off.
I have measured the temperatures when it is working well and when it goes into tornado mode and they are normal, even when it goes crazy it goes down 2 or 3 degrees before it turns off.
My doubt is, I don't know what the fault could be anymore, motherboard? I have already ruled out the temperature, change the fan again?
Sorry for the long message I just sent, thanks in advance and greetings to all.

Is any of these?

it is probably the motherboard. but whatever it is, since it is under warranty, send it back to HP

Fassou is not any of those, it's the G62-B80SS.
Franziskaner the problem with the warranty is that the laptop is 1 year old and the people at HP tell me that since I didn't contract any warranty extension service they don't cover the second year. I'm climbing the walls with their customer service...
I already suspected it was going to be a motherboard failure :wall:
That's why I was looking for some way to fix it myself.

I can't think of anything that has a warranty for repairs, so your laptop is still under warranty because the fault is the same and the one-year warranty thing …. I don't know, I don't know

Well I will get in touch with HP and the OCU to see what they can tell me. Thank you very much.

The warranty is always 2 years in Spain, and you have to process it with the one who sold it to you.
-
2 years on new product for individuals, and one year on repaired or second-hand.
When purchased as a company, the conditions will be the ones agreed upon, generally on laptops it is one year.
Salu2!

Many thanks to everyone for your responses, after several emails with HP and after putting pressure on them, they have finally called me and everything is now resolved, now let's see if they don't just replace the fan again and we continue with the same problems. Regards ;D
