2007 Macbook KO. Any solution?
-
Hello everyone. It's been a while since I opened any thread, but I still read the forum and very occasionally participate in some thread.
After reconnecting, I'll tell you about my problem.
My 2007 macbook has been doing strange things like this for a few months now, and now it won't turn on.
It has happened to me a couple of times before, but it fixed itself over time, that is, I let it rest for a long time and it got better. But in this case, it hasn't, I've tried leaving it for 24 hours with the battery and magsafe plugged in, then just with the magsafe, etc. The battery has died for good, as it couldn't charge for so many days.I've tried resetting the PMU or whatever it's called on Intel machines. I've removed the ram, I've changed it, I've removed the disk, in short, everything I could remove to see if it did anything and also trying different configurations but nothing. It's still K.O. it doesn't even attempt to turn on.
Do you know what could be wrong?

Could it be one of those that have problems with the graphics and need a reballing? I know several cases of coworkers who have had this problem, and the only solution was a review of the graphics. Not cheap.

I think the ones that had a graphics problem were the Pros. This one has integrated Intel graphics, so in that case it would be the motherboard that's causing the problems.
From what I've been able to read these past few days, I think it's the motherboard that's not working properly when charging the battery and that without the battery it won't turn on. That is, it can get power from the charger, only from the battery or at least that's what I've read.
But I don't know, I mentioned it here to see if anyone has a solution to try.
If it helps, the Macbook was without a battery for a few days (a week or so). But the battery hadn't died yet, because the light was blinking. Now it's completely dead.
If any of you are from Valencia and have a compatible battery, would someone be so kind as to lend it to me to see if that gets it started?

True, the cases I know of are with the Pro. Forget what I said.

Moreover, I could say that the ones having problems are exclusively the pros with nVidia graphics from the years 2008-2009.

I know of two ATI cases and almost a dozen nVidia… Apple had a boom with the Pros from 2006 to 2009.
