Well, it's a great price... I imagine they're getting rid of them because they're no longer in production. The price of the 580 is also good.

You have the Ati 7850 for a similar price to the 1 Giga and a little more for the 2 Giga. It is cooler, consumes less and has good performance. The 570 GTX is not badly priced. The problem with the 560 GTX is that it has an inflated price for what it delivers, at least as of today. That they are expensive does not mean that they perform in proportion to their high price...

I prefer the Ati, the two Giga one of course. One Giga at Full HD with filters can be a bit tight depending on the game.

Well, there's always the 3D option if you have a compatible monitor or a crappy one that you're going to change soon, or if that's the case, Battlefield 3 if you're going to use it a lot, the greens pull more but, for consumption, temperatures, assembler and that extra memory, the 7850 seems like a better option to me.

Those 7850 2GB go for 220-230€ right? For that price don't you think the GTX660 is better? anyway we were talking about 175€ ?

The 7850 1GB is at 169€ but sold out, dead from success. I was waiting for restocking.

                    +1 7850.

The 660 doesn't convince me either but we go back to the same for the Battle, with 3D, and if any PhysX or CUDA. It was at 200 bucks on Amazon, that deal looked better but if we're looking for pure performance, at the current prices 7870 (219 pcc) VS 660 (215 pcc) I'll go with ATI.

Editing: Well the Dual-X (2GB) is also sold out, the truth is that the 7850 was very well priced, let's see when they restock it, it sold out at a price of 185€.

it's the fish that bites its own tail, when you see those offers you have no money and when you don't see them (they are at prohibitive prices) and you also don't have the money
as of today, except for a few games, an ATI is worth more than an Nvidia
                        regards

From what I see, the 7850 with 2Gb has much more acceptance than the GTX570 and for 10€ more it's not much, plus it comes with Sleeping dogs, which is not my type of game but it's appreciated.

How do you see the size issue of the 570? because on the pccomponentes website it shows a graphics card that is quite small but if you search for it on google it shows one that measures almost double http://www.caged.in/var/albums/Technology/Hardware/Video%20Cards/Zotac%20ZT-50201-10P%20GeForce%20GTX%20570.jpg?m=1296422951
Is it possible that they have redesigned the card and made it smaller?

                          Thanks to all ?

The normal thing is that the short card is hot. It has the same values as the long one (I'm talking about core speed, memory etc), so in doubt, and without being able to find a review, which I haven't been able to find the truth, I wouldn't buy it. It has a smaller heatsink but the heat generated should be the same as in the long card...

I remember the case of the Palit 460 GTX or 560 GTX where the graphics card was shorter than normal, the heatsink was small and they were very hot. That's right, they were cheaper than the normal ones, but it was an oven...

That's not the issue. The point is that if you don't have Battlefield 3 as your main game and don't want the Nvidia "gimmicks" (PhysX, CUDA, and 3D), the 7850 is better in many ways.
