Help with Asus z53s laptop, black screen
-
Hello,
I have an Asus z53s laptop that for the past few days, when I turn it on, the screen stays black, nothing comes out on the screen.
I have tried holding down the F2, F12, Del keys to see if it enters the Bios but nothing.
I have also connected a monitor via VGA but it doesn't show any image.I have taken it apart to see if it was the cable that goes next to the screen hinges in case it had come loose but everything is fine.
Any ideas what it could be?
Regards and thanks

regardsIt was sudden, it had been working perfectly until then.
And does it have a solution?

Mine does the same thing when I leave it unused for a while. After I turn it on and restart it, it works fine, and the more I use it, the less it does.

I think your computer has an 8400M graphics card. It can probably be removed and replaced with another one. I've looked and on Ebay they are available for example, so I would open the computer and if the graphics card can be removed easily, then you know what to do.

if you know or have the means, try opening the laptop and cleaning the heat sinks and changing the thermal paste, it could be a temperature problem (a lot of dust) the sound sounds like the graphics

I've already tried leaving it on for a while, but there's no way, the screen stays black.

From what I've seen, the Z53S model does have an 8400M but soldered to the motherboard, so I think it's going to be complicated to change it.

greetingsI already have it half-disassembled, but from the symptoms, it looks like the graphics card has stopped working, besides I've seen quite a few people complaining about this graphics card (8400M) it seems that many came out with problems.
Anyway, I'll clean it well to see if I'm lucky.
Because I suppose that if I take it to an Asus SAT, they would charge me at least 200€ upwards, right?Greetings and thanks
