Hello, the thing is that I am looking for a monitor and I spoke with PCComponentes through their ticket system. I have no complaint that the ticket system works, moreover, they were quick to respond to messages, but I find it annoying that I have to do their job...

The post may be a bit long, but don't be scared, it reads fast and I think it's worth it (it's 6 messages). If you don't want to read it all, read what is in bold at least.

Hello, I need to know the following information about the article Request Information about LG M2252D Monitor/TV 22 - 52458: I am looking for a monitor that has the following characteristics:

      LED-IPS Panel
      Size 21'-22'
      HDMI
      DVI
      DVB-T Tuner

According to what is commented in the specifications, the monitor matches what I am looking for. But I see a detail that I don't like.

Clearly in the product title it says the name: M2252D but then a little further down there is a detail that says: P/N: M2252D-PZ

I wanted to know if it is the M2252D model or the M2252D-PZ model, since according to the manufacturer, the M2252D model is exactly the one you have on the web (with IPS) and on the other hand, the M2252D-PZ model is the same but without IPS panel and also there is little information on their web.

      Hello Xavier,

The technical service tells me that this model does have IPS technology.

For any other query, do not hesitate to contact us, we will always be happy to assist you.

      Best regards!

      Xavier 2012-11-08 09:59:35

Then, I would like to know exactly which model it is. If it is the LG-M2252D or the LG-M2252-PZ. In case it is the PZ model, I would like to receive some kind of official documentation that guarantees me that the panel is IPS, since on the web there is hardly any information about the product and from what I have seen, other PZ models do not have IPS. I wouldn't like to receive a product that I don't want.

And I would also appreciate it if the WEB could fix the product title or the P/N so that both are the same and not create confusion.

      Best regards.

      Hello Xavier,

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we have already sold more than 20 units of this article and no customer has complained about whether it has IPS or not, therefore if they have not complained it is because it has it.

We are consulting with the manufacturer about what you have asked me to be able to send you that information.

For any other query, do not hesitate to contact us, we will always be happy to assist you.

      Best regards!

      Xavier 2012-11-08 10:20:34
Agreed, sorry for being insistent. I will be waiting for said information.

      Thank you very much.

      Best regards!

      PCComponentes 2012-11-08 16:23:57

      Hello Xavier,

Sorry for the inconvenience, it has already been corrected on the web, this model does not incorporate IPS.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

For any other query, do not hesitate to contact us, we will always be happy to assist you.

What do you think of the conversation?
What should those deceived people do?
Do they take what they sell very seriously?

My advice? Don't trust the specifications of the stores. Always look for the product on the manufacturer's website.

      Best regards!

Oh dear, it's clear that you should always check the part number and look on the manufacturer's website, even so I've had several surprises, it's better to be thorough sometimes than to end up in the complaints circle, it's better for both parties.

The problem may not be so much with PCComponentes as that people don't care what they buy. That is, if I buy an IPS screen and it's not, as soon as I turn it on I'll notice that it's a TN+Film (because as far as I know MVA's are no longer sold). So if they've sold more than 20 and people haven't realized that they've been given a cat instead of a lie, it's because they don't even know what they're buying.

As for the information error, I highly doubt that the store did it on purpose. It seems more likely that the person in charge of putting that information doesn't have a clue about the subject.

And the one who gave you support is a bit rude. If they say something like that to me face to face I'd ask them directly if they think I'm an idiot. What does the fact that people don't complain have to do with it having such a feature? What a way to make sure it has IPS! It reminds me of the Monty Python sketch where they explain in a "very convincing" way how to tell if a woman is a witch.

Go to a place where I don't usually go. I take this opportunity to greet you, Xavi, Techno and cobito, it's a pleasure to read you again, veterans!!

Regarding the topic, yes, always check the manufacturer because you can't trust anyone... :wall:

That happens everywhere, you see a product and the store label says –--- and almost nothing of what it says is true.
you always have to point out the model in question and verify its characteristics with the manufacturer
and of course there are few or no stores that really know what they are selling you
and let's not talk about the technical service, which is worse

              regards

If I understand perfectly that they cannot know 100% what they are selling since they have many products.

But the phrase that they had already sold 20 units and no one had complained killed me, which leads to the conclusion that it has IPS xd.

PD. Wenas albertpg, cuanto tiempoo ?

The truth is that the answer leaves much to be desired, it would have been more elegant to be humble and delegate the answer to a colleague with more knowledge.

I directly do what you XaviJS God of the resurrection of NVIDIA, xD I look at the reviews and I look at the specifications directly from the manufacturer because sometimes they mess it up and they don't always do it on purpose.

It happened to me with a gigabyte motherboard, the minimum voltage of the ram was 1.6 and not 1.5.

On the gigabyte website it said the same thing :roto2:

I didn't complain here to solve the problem, dozens of blue screens and all without connection between them

The people at pccomponentes were great and refunded my money, in the end I ended up buying the motherboard in a physical store, but for any nonsense I want to buy I always look first at pccomponentes
