Configuration of my gaming PC
-
I'm going to assemble my computer for the first time, I'll use some current components and an asus motherboard that I bought second-hand on ebay
ASUS P8P67 motherboard socket 1155
I use this motherboard that I bought ASUS P8P67, a corsair power supply of 620, my dvd burner and the case I don't know why the fans are a bit worn out and you always like to see a new one, if we find a pretty gamer case at a good price I'll stretch a little and grab it and the graphics card I bought last month an ati hd7850 2gb, I also have a katana 3 cooler that I think I can use by changing to the other screws it comes with, I also have an asus xonar dg sound card
Intel i5-2500K 3.3Ghz 189€
8GB G-Skill Ripjaws 1600Mhz 35€
the hard drive with 300-500 gb I have enough, I've seen an auction on ebay to see if it doesn't go up more, if not, which one do you recommend at a good price?
The case, I'm considering these options:
AeroCool Strike-X One STRIKEXONE Case/Tower
or even better at a lower price:

Hello
I like the configuration, but you know that this micro is for overclocking it sooner or later... so the Katana would be good for you, although you can always get a Hyper 212 EVO or a Noctua NH-U9B SE2. If you are not going to do any overclocking, you should change the processor, some Ivy, the i5 3570 for example or similar. The rest is not bad.
About the hard drive, they are expensive, look for a Seagate of 1Tb, it may be the best option performance/price... If not, a WD Caviar Black of the size you want, for performance in games, although the proper thing is an SSD, like Crucial M4 and add another hard drive for data. The case is to your liking. There will be those who recommend one or the other because they have tried them, for the cooling, for this and for that, but in the end it has to be to your liking, that is the most important thing. And above all, look at two important things when choosing it: Cooling (how many fans it comes with and how many it can hold) and size (that allows you to put all your components without getting in the way).

Thanks, I'm thinking of upgrading the micro when it starts to get outdated, in a year or so...
I think I'll get the vs4 case because I saw a youtube video of someone building a computer with that case which could be very helpful...
the hard drive, as you can see this:
http://cgi.ebay.es/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281032126809&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:ES:1123it has 2 hours left

I have also seen that Seagate Barracuda at a good price
-
Neither one of them really works for me, I'm going to get a 500Gb one second-hand for less than 30€ including expenses...
I see a better option to go for a 1Tb seagate or a caviar blue of the same size, which can be found for around 65€ depending on the store.Best regards
-
if you can send me a link to get one?
regards -
regarding the case I just saw that on alternate the vs3 is cheaper, but there is no stock, do you know how long it will take to restock and if you can buy it and have it sent when they have it? and the shipping costs?
By the way they also have this one for 30 euros that I like, does the katana fit in it without any problem?
-
another candidate?
http://www.alternate.es/html/product/Toshiba/500GB_3.5_7.2k_SATA_Gb-s_32MB/1012452/?the micro and the memory are clear, but the disk and the case are not xd
-
Before putting that last disk, I would put this:
Seagate 1TB SATA HDDOr for much better price this one: Seagate 2TB SATA HDD
It's 1Tb more for 20€, I think it's pretty good.In the Aerocool I think the katana fits without problems, as well as other larger coolers.

Thank you very much for your response, but you see I don't want to spend that much, 500 gb is enough for me because I also have a plan to put an ssd with the operating system and some games when I have more money, I'm not one of those who downloads movies and stuff and I rarely fill up the disks
If it could be a disk with less capacity and at a good price, better
I'm also looking at the second-hand market to see
-
So there are the options, for me the equivalence would be 500Gb->30€
Look in the second-hand market, and if you don't see anything then go for one of 500Gb that you see cheap, some Seagate sata3 or a Caviar, black or at most blue.Greetings

I already have several of the components at home, I'm not sure if I should open a new topic in the corresponding section, and put photos of what I have and start assembling it and taking photos of the process and ask questions, or take advantage of this same topic???
-
Here I think you can put it perfectly since it is complete configurations, so photos we want photos XD.

So far, the 2-hand plate and the case have arrived
I have the source and the graphics on my current pc. I will disassemble it as soon as necessary
The ram should arrive on Thursday or Friday and the micro on Wednesdaythe case of which I have several doubts:
I've looked at the instructions for those adapters and I understand that I can use it to put an ssd?
Do I need to buy an extra fan? I've looked on amazon that I have free shipping and there are some from the artic brand that, according to the characteristics, seem to make little noise, they are white, how are they? I'm interested in them not sounding too much
And photos of the plate, of which I don't know what those extra connectors are for, and that blue plastic piece from the sachet
watching videos and manuals, in some it removes a thing that comes for the stock coolers, my plate has x under a metal square but I don't have to remove it, because it's the socket, right?
-
You don't have to remove the bottom plate, which is the socket holder
-
Everything is fine, it looks good.
As for those Amazon fans, I have never tried that brand in my life, I say that they will fulfill like all basic fans, although it is always better to put some Gentle Typhoon, Nidec…Regards
-
Thanks, so far I have mounted the screws that separate the plate from the case and the metal plate where the connections for the motherboard go
One thing that comes to mind is whether I need to copy what I have on my current disk, or how I want to set it up as a second disk, along with the ssd (which will be the first disk) I will recover it when the time comes...

Arctic Cooling ARCTIC F12, 120 x 120 x 25 mm, 108 g: Amazon.es: Electrónica
that's the fan I was talking about, one of the first in popularity
if not, I like this one: Aerocool Shark Red Fan, 12 centimeters, 1500rpm, 4xLED - Amazon.es: Aerocool
But the latter brand has much more noise
-
I think I read that the Aerocool did indeed make more noise, but I have no experience with either one.
About the disk, you will have to do a new installation on the SSD, so leave the one you have as it is, and you can take out what interests you later, or it is enough to leave it the same, if you are going to use it as storage after all. You will have to reinstall the programs on the SSD anyway.

I think things are moving ahead and tomorrow I will have everything here except the ram…
So, while looking through manuals, I saw that there was a way to use the 2.0 USB port on this case, as a 3.0 and connect it to the board as 3.0... but I have no idea, do you know anything about this?
