Valve is preparing Steam for Linux (again)

I just found a great deal on milk… Borderlands 2 x 4 licenses the pack x 3 packs (12 licenses) for 7 €, to be activated on Steam. A bug in an online store, which they are now forced to maintain. With these prices, how can we not switch to Steam?

I don't think anyone would go to that extreme for some games XD, in any case, in their terms of sale they will put something fixed for these issues.

I finally got it to work on Mageia 2 despite having outdated libraries and drivers. I tested TF 2 and it runs like a dream. They already said they were getting better performance than Windows: Faster Zombies! | Valve

Although of course, the Source engine doesn't need a monster computer.

An unexpected surprise for moving with a completely different game engine and that is not owned by Valve: for a few days now, Half Life 1 and Counter Strike 1.6 have been available for Linux.

I guess the same as on Windows because the FOV is the same. Try limiting the frame rate to 30 or 40.

Yes, I already found out at the time and it was because of that, it happens to a lot of people. Anyway, it never hooked me, I'm more into Counter.

I'm also not sure if the two Steams will be mixed, since I also have a Windows Steam account with only one game and I'm not sure if I'll have to create another one for Linux.

The Steams are the same. You don't need to create an account for Windows and another for Linux. The only difference is that you won't be able to play titles that haven't been ported to Linux.
