      Good morning ladies.

Well, I finally set up my sound system after waiting so long and having my beloved home cinema, and the next day I put on the HTPC and connected to the ATI and I started to see it in pink. At first I thought it was the cable since I had similar experiences but with DVI and this is HDMI, even though it was a new cable. After changing the cable it was still the same and I was already afraid it was the AV receiver which is new and I was already shaking because of the RMA delays but both the decoder and the PS3 looked good. I connected it directly to the TV and it looked the same. I took out the graphics card, cleaned it a bit and adjusted it and it's still the same.

I changed the drivers and it was the same, now I have it connected to the integrated one and it works perfectly. Something curious is that when playing videos before having everything new it slowed down the videos when advancing or turning up the volume from the sofa in both VLC and Kmplayer. I updated the programs and it was the same. I resigned myself to the fact that the graphics card is defective but just in case before processing the warranty I expose it in case there is any solution or I'm doing something wrong. Anyway, every time I buy something and everything is to my liking something breaks :ffu:

So a bit randomly, the first thing that comes to mind is that you reset the default graphic settings. Just in case you have changed the saturation or color controls in the settings. :wall:

        Best regards

To rule out a software issue, as usual, I recommend trying a linux live-cd.

I suspect it's the HDMI + ATI, while looking into my black edges problem I read that it caused problems of that type where the screen turned pink through HDMI and stuff... And people explain that you have to adjust the RGB and HDMI parameters on the screen in question (mostly TVs).

The RGB thing must be able to be changed on the TV, although in Catalyst there is the function to change the size and color of the pixels, in desktops & displays, pixel format, you have to choose: rgb 4:4:4 pixel format pc standard, or the most similar option that marks 4:4:4, because that function is from the old Catalysts, in the newer ones it's in the digital screens tab and stuff.

            Regards

Well, then I'll tinker with all the options, I looked at the catalyst and when I restarted the PC it was fine but after a while it went back to the same thing, what bothers me is that before this the video slowed down as I said in the first post and with the integrated one it works perfectly, I'll go back later to everything you said and I'll try the graphics on other PCs, with how well everything had been left...

Well, the issue is resolved, the pink color was in RGB 4:4:4, I had to change it to RGB studio 4:4:4 and it looks good, thanks for the contributions, if it's clear, always ask for advice before making changes.

What's still failing me is the damn kmplayer player now, which is not a problem, I can use another one, but after years of using and knowing its shortcuts, I had gotten used to it, I suppose it's a program problem, I've reinstalled it 3 times, I'll have to try with an old version to see if it keeps happening.

                  Regards and thanks.

Nothing, man, as soon as you said about ATI+ HDMI = pink screen, I remembered all the forums I had read over the weekend about my problem, and that was the most typical one, the one about the pixel mode 4:4:4 in the Catalyst.
I'm glad you solved it, and about the player I don't know what to say, it will not get along with the driver or something like that… The truth is it's annoying when you've been using the same player for years and because of some nonsense like this you have to change it...

                    Regards
