I'm not sure if this is more about the camera than about the cards, but whatever.
I have a Canon EOS 350D that uses Compact Flash cards. I was thinking of buying a high-speed one to replace the one I have, but I've seen that there are SD to CF adapters and I'm not sure if that setup would be worth it.
The 3rd option is similar to the second one but using a wifi SD card to be able to print directly from the camera. Have you tried these cards? Are they compatible with any camera? How are they configured?

      Thanks a lot ?

The wifi cards are only compatible with cameras that support that functionality. The EOS 350d is too old for that. A few months ago I bought a Nikon D3200 (a 2012 model) and as a new feature it had wifi compatibility in SD.

As for the adapter, I don't know how the performance issue will be, but I remember that with my ex-camera that also used CF I was looking for cards and they were very expensive. Although you lose performance (unless you are addicted to bursts in RAW), I would get the adapter if it is not very expensive.

Okay, so I forget about wifi for now. Now I just have to decide between a native compact flash or an SDHC with a CF adapter. I understand that the adapter shouldn't slow down the SDHC, right?
I'm going to do some calculations to see how much a fast CF and a fast SDHC + adapter come out to see what compensates more.

Well, big donkey walk or not walk, so the faster the better, because even if the 350D is not capable of getting the most out of it, when I change cameras the new one will.

I already have the comparison done.
              Option 1 (55€):
              Compact Flash Kingston 32GB 600x, up to 90MB/s - 55€
              Option 2 (45'33€):
DeLOCK adapter, from CF to: SD, SDHC, mini SD, micro SD, micro SDHC, T-Flash, SDXC, MMC, MMC 4.0, RS-MMC, RS-MMC - 16'63€
              SDHC Sandisk Extreme 32GB class 10, up to 45MB/s - 28'70€

Would it be worth going straight to SDXC?

I have a 350D too with an 8G card. It's true that I bought it two and a half years ago, but I would check if the camera supports larger cards.

The one I have now is 8GB, in the end I went for option 2 but with a SanDisk Extreme Pro 16GB SDHC (UHS-I, 95MB/s). It arrives tomorrow, let's see if I can test it this weekend

In my experience, high-speed cards only perform well when shooting in "photo to photo" bursts, and they are hardly worth it.
                    Best regards

well, it arrived a while ago. Let's see if I can do some tests tonight with my father's camera, taking advantage of the fact that I'll have to go there to see the installation of the plus.

tested the SD with the CF adapter yesterday and it's the poor camera that can't give more of itself, it must have a tiny buffer xD. In burst mode it takes the same photos as with the original CF. But now I can print photos directly from the SD xDDDD

Sure the 400D would suit you a bit better :troll:
