Many thanks for giving us those tests and images of the Titan ELP3, of course I think it's amazing to be able to tinker with such beasts... and on top of that make a Trio, jajaja.

And to think that I'm stuck with a second-hand HD4870X2... ains, I would trade it for a Titan right now :troll:

Of course, I greet many people I see from N3D, it's a pleasure for me and the rest of the veterans and not so veterans, to see our family grow.

      A hug to everyone!!

P.D: The side LEDs... I don't like them very much, but on a card that costs 1000 euros, I imagine it has to have this and more details.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here,

I have registered simply to thank ELP for his constant effort and dedication so that the HW community in Spain has access to first-hand information that would otherwise be impossible to obtain.

Thank you very much, man, we have known each other for years and you have always been upfront and with arguments, that honors you.

I hope everything goes well for you, and if not, that it is resolved as soon as possible and successfully.

              A hug.

PD: I did not know this website; but I am happy to see a lot of familiar faces here, it is a pleasure to have found a place where I can talk to you again without reservations. Regards.

                Greetings to the newcomers.. ;).

And Many Thanks to ELP3, for showing us firsthand how these Titans are going.

I think that for a first contact, it has a lot of potential under the hood, it's clear that the drivers are very green and there's still a lot of work to be done by the Nvidia engineers, we all know how sensitive these new GPUs are when it comes to drivers.

Even so, as always, I can't understand how it always happens the same way, they release something and it's not even moderately optimized. Unfortunately, we users are the beta testers for both manufacturers, whether it's Nvidia or AMD.

On the other hand, I have the feeling that we are once again falling short of CPU, for these beasts in multigpu… :wall::wall:

                Best regards...

Good morning everyone, this is my first post here,

Welcome here, in the end we are all known, it's been a long time since I've seen you.

                    @pazuzu77:

I think it should surpass itself through drivers, but even so, the performance/price ratio is disproportionate.

They have released some modified drivers from the Titan for the 680s, in which they say that they significantly increase performance, if anyone dares, it would be very interesting to see how much difference the 680s leave from the Titan

Download 314.09_Titan_win8_winvista_win7_64bit_english_PreModded.rar from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

Regards Pazuzu and another for Pistons, sometimes I don't say anything because in the end they will say that this looks more like facebook than a Titan thread.

                                      A little "Off-topic".

Taking a look around N3D, in a thread opened by Piratilla longing for old disappeared companions, I came across this post… The friend is trying to find a reason for the exodus:

                                      "_LuisWu:

The problem has been that some have not digested very well that AMD is above Nvidia in performance in this generation, if we talk about price/performance don't even get me started.

Of course now in the forum where you are there will be no problem, everyone always agrees on everything to not upset anyone. They allow themselves the luxury of calling this forum AMDn3d, I die laughing.

By the way what the companion said and that made Praimus so angry, was that the 7970 is in everything above the 670, reason enough to send someone to the stake, of course, of course."

It's for things like this that I emigrated. I don't understand how he reads us, an act totally hypocritical if you're not interested in what's going on here. And I don't understand how he has "the lack of decency" to criticize in this way a lot of forum members (most of them veterans) for not agreeing with his opinion.

As for the thread itself, many thanks for your contribution ELP3 and also to Zupernico. Personally everyone has their opinion about these new graphics, whether they are worth it or not, but what is clear is that what this little world needs is more constructive people and fewer "know-it-alls" and moral judgments.

                                      Regards.

Same reason why I left, especially because I bought an HD7950 and explained to them what was happening to me, and even cited a website (Techreport) where they were experiencing the same problem as me, but anyway, it all ended up with me being crazy or my GPU being faulty, because the 1000 tests on the web that demonstrate the serious frametime problem that GCN GPUs have are all fake and unimportant according to many forum users there, so here we are all pro-Nvidia, especially me, who out of the 4 PCs I have at home, none has an Nvidia GPU :fumeta:.

It's unbelievable, don't you know that the frametimes that are so used in TR are a scam promoted by Nvidia to make it seem like they're not as bad as they really are? Everyone knows that a 7870 is faster than a GTX 680. Something that, by the way, in that great forum mentioned, one of its users said and defended without a touch of moderation for "flaming". Because, come on, saying that is flaming, that's been the case forever. Those are the things that make people leave, not tolerating baseless nonsense that, moreover, if you dare to argue about, they'll still say everything to you.

What can't be is that the review industry as a whole is changing to other types of measures beyond just fps, and that some people decide to ignore these results, or the users who say they see the microstuttering problem (wargreymon). There's a huge change in the industry right now in the metrics used, after checking the importance of frame times, various methods on different sites, even AMD has released those famous beta 13.2 drivers just to mitigate some of the latency problems (very localized, literally 3 games) to the extent possible. If it were possible, they wouldn't have even come to light, certainly not from beta 2 as has happened.

But well, it doesn't matter, even with conventional measures you can see that the performance has never been so tight using such conventional metrics as average fps. If AMD had to release the 7970 GHz (because it wasn't in their plans) just to beat the GTX 680 by a hair, the issue couldn't be tighter. I'm talking about a product whose only change is a BIOS with OC and overvoltage, nothing more (same PCB, same chip, same quality of this one on average vs 7970 ordinary, etc).

Of course, then it's strange that there are people who have left or have been kicked out, because they respond "badly" to provocations that fall like continuous drops on the head (the thing with Praimus I think it was clear that it wasn't pretending to offend, or at least, to offend someone you don't say they're going to burn something they said, much less ban them for that) every other day.

But it's very easy to check the issue of lack of clear neutrality, you can go to that forum and check the Titan thread, and see how many times people who buy Titan are disrespected with a thousand epithets (you have to be big to put your results even seeing the tone used, now it's more relaxed, but a week ago they were saying everything). How many times are crossovers or AMD alternatives recommended in the thread dedicated to Titan. Now, do the same and look in threads about AMD graphics (models) how many times someone dares to recommend an Nvidia (because it's not for nothing, it still has its advantages, and performance/price, if you know how to look for it, you can also find it), and the type of responses they receive from other users.

                                          That's a totally asymmetrical treatment.

If this hasn't made the issue clear to those people, they're more fanatical than I thought. Because calling someone "forty-something who lives at his parents' house" and other niceties to someone who shows off their newly bought Titan in a photo (a complete stranger, used as an example by a user of that forum), is anything but acceptable. Mostly because it has no basis, it's just a photo of the graphics (people like to invent stories). And there are several like this one.

No wonder ELP3 doesn't do this review there, that tone is unnecessary, I don't even know how the few who have dared with Titan in that forum allow it, because respect... isn't being kept much, precisely. Well, that and the totally asymmetrical treatment there, which is more than obvious, besides.

Anyway, some have left to be more peaceful, to their own thing, and others seem to be bothered that some people don't want to share the "armpit smell" common when the environment isn't to their liking. I don't know what they're complaining about. Although maybe they're "bothered" by not having, against all odds, enduring the downpour, the review of ELP3's "homemade" Titan. But if they already have other volunteers, I don't know what they're complaining about, to be honest.

I sincerely believe that, out of respect, which some/many do not have, we should put an end to the N3D issue already.

I don't care what they say/do.. it's not just a problem for users, but a direct problem for the owners of the website, who have preferred cold numbers of visits over the quality of the same and contributions. I feel sorry for it, but it is what it is and it is accepted.

Here we are very well, let's respect each other, which is the basis of any mutual contribution and let's set an example. Starting by stopping to mention that website and if we don't like it, let's not read it. Let's lead by example and see if here, finally, we can have a site where we can truly, and always as I say with the basis of respect, learn from each other.

                                            Greetings to all.
