Hello everyone!
Few will remember me from my journey through HardLimit, but the hours I spent here and how attached I was to it made me come back. The truth is that once I started university, I bought my first pre-built laptop to later change it for a MacBook, I completely disconnected from the world of hardware and this particular community.
But you learn from mistakes, right? Right now, having finished my degree in Journalism, having worked for a year in an Innovation and Technology center pioneer in Europe and having left there due to cuts and other reasons, I find myself in that situation of melancholy, remembering moments from the forum, learning continuously every day with others, sharing resources, opinions… And here I am back!
For now I am considering options to finance my next custom built computer, to take advantage and put together a course on Introduction to Computing, Free Software and Programming for journalists, which my university colleagues (and I would say 90% of the profession) do not have even basic notions of "basic computing", something that could bring them so much personally and professionally... That's why I want to accompany them in a dive into the DIY technological world!
I hope to chat again with my former debianites par excellence (hey Yorus, Membris...), to remove all the rust I have and return to the wonderful life of the "self-taught computer scientist".
Greetings to all!

Blessed are the eyes, because this is indeed a surprise, I did not expect it at all.
Of the "classic" linuxers, there are fewer and fewer of us in the forum, although there are people who do everything (without second thoughts :D). Membris hasn't been around for a while, although he still has his topics, Linux, photography, his mythical blog that he updates periodically...
Good, let's see if it's true that you stay here for a good season, we all want HardLimit to rise a little in flight.

Welcome back to the forum to the world of computer science
your question is how bad it will be if they don't answer youregards

Welcome back and you will tell us how we can help you.

Welcome back home.
You ask that together we will surely find a solution to your doubts. Although I can tell you that even though the current systems may seem like they are from another world, in essence they are the same but enhanced. So you will have no problem getting up to speed again.Best regards
